Beginning on 8 September 2025, Nepal witnessed widespread protests and demonstrations, primarily organised by Gen Z students and youth. The initiative was formalized during a national workshop held in Bolgatanga, as part of the broader mission to establish and strengthen national and regional user coordination structures across the Volta Basin.
