GWP and the International Water Management Institute (IWMI) launched a new Perspectives Paper, “Storing Water: A new integrated approach for resilient development." The launch took place in a webinar on 24 February, gathering about 300 people for what is to be the start of a broad cross-sector dialogue on water storage.

February 21, 2022, Global Water Development, a youth capacity building programme, was initiated in Beijing. Hosted by the Department of Water of Tsinghua University and supported by GWP China and GWP WAY, the programme manages to help undergraduate students of Tsinghua explore their knowledge and related tools.

SDG 6.5.1 monitoring and reporting provides a wealth of data and a comprehensive global picture on the progress of IWRM implementation in countries. The UN Environment Programme (UNEP), as the custodian agency for SDG indicator 6.5.1, periodically invites countries to undertake data collection to respond to a survey on the status of IWRM, analyses the data submitted by countries and shares the results in global progress reports to boost implementation of IWRM.

The Tisza Office of the Middle Tisza Water Directorate (KÖTIVIZIG) was ceremonially inaugurated on 4 November 2014. The Benin WACDEP-G team together with the CWP hold on 7 December 2021 a workshop to validate the report on the development of a shared vision on gender transformative approach in Benin. The event took place in Grand Popo with main partners including the Directorate general of environment and climate (DGEC), the FNEC, the NDA, focal points of various ministries, CSOs in gender promotion and consultants.

From November 29 to December 03 in Porto-Novo, Benin, the Country Water Partnership, and the WACDEP-G in Benin organized a national training workshop for key actors on how to access the GCF funding.
