Anthony Mutua Kimeu is the Chairman of Makueni County WRUA Council in Kenya. His organisation has been a GWP Partner since its establishment in 2013. In this interview he describes the collaboration.
The 9th session of the meeting of the Parties to the UN Water Convention was organized from 29 September to 1 October 2021. On this occasion, GWP-Med had the opportunity to present the breath of its work on transboundary water management, the water-energy-food-ecosystems Nexus approach as well as the role of women in promoting transboundary water cooperation, during the MOP9 meeting and in several side events.
On 15th June 2022, the Green Climate Fund Readiness Programme started its implementation in Somalia, targeting the National Designated Authority, which is the Somalia's Ministry for Environment & Climate Change for capacity building and institutional strengthening, to ensure that this office has the necessary capacity to pr ovidestrategic oversight of GCF activities in Somalia

President Jakaya Kikwete called on the international community to support the establishment of an International High-Level Panel on Water Investments for Africa, which is urgently needed to accelerate investments in water security on the continent.
