Despite ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Danube Art Master competition prevails.

Rehabilitation and Maintenance of the Underground Reservoir at Auberge de Angleterre, Birgu, Malta. Global Water Partnership – Mediterranean (GWP – Med), legally and lawfully represented by the non-profit society MEDITERRANEAN INFORMATION OFFICE FOR ENVIRONMENT, CULTURE AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT – MIO ECSDE announces the present call for offers for the Rehabilitation and Maintenance of the Underground Reservoir at Auberge de Angleterre, Birgu, Malta.

Mr. Chi Napoleon Forpah is the Coordinator of Watershed Task Group (WTG) in Cameroon. In this interview he describes their work and collaboration with GWP, which started in 2007. The interview is also available in French.

To develop joint strategies geared toward promoting female engagement in decision-making in the water and climate sector, GWP Cameroon in collaboration with UN Women Cameroon and the Ministry in charge of promoting women and family (MINPROFF) organized a multi-stakeholder gender café in Yaoundé on August 17th, 2022.

GWP supported the development and implementation of a National Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) Roadmap in The Gambia to guide the country towards increased water security. Validated in 2009, the implementation of the Roadmap has received approximately €2 million in funding from the African Development Bank and has led to the establishment of a Country Water Partnership.

GWP SAS in collaboration with the Cooperate Social Responsibility Team of Brandix Apparel Ltd. organised a field visit to the Brandix Essentials Rambukkana plant in Sri Lanka on 19 December 2022.

The concept note for the “Integrated Water Resource Management and Early Warning System for Climate Resilience in the Lake Chad Basin” project, has been approved by the Adaptation fund.

The Strategic Framework for WASH Climate Resilience, developed by GWP and UNICEF, to guide implementors in climate-proofing WASH services, will be a valuable tool in UNICEF’s new drive to bring water security solutions to 450 million children and their families , living in areas of high or extremely high-water vulnerability, by 2025.
