World Water Day, held on 22 March every year, is an annual United Nations Observance focusing on the importance of freshwater, raising awareness of the 2.2 billion people living without access to safe water. The theme of World Water Day 2024 is ‘Water for Peace’.
This event showcases various drought management initiatives across Latin America and the Caribbean. It brings together experts, policy makers, and scientists who will share how droughts impact and manifest themselves in their respective countries and localities.

At the 5th Joint Plenary of Horizon 2020 REXUS and LENSES PRIMA in Larisa, Greece GWP-Med leader of Communication and Dissemination Work Package organised interviews with major national and key local media featuring the project's innovative methods and tools under development.
