After a long period of inactivity, marked in particular by the failure to hold statutory meetings of the Permanent Framework for the Consultation and Monitoring (PFCM) bodies for nearly a decade, a revitalisation of the regional IWRM process in West Africa has been underway since 2024, notably with the organisation of the 11th Ordinary Session of the Technical Experts Committee (TEC) and the 5th Ordinary Session of the Ministerial Monitoring Committee (MCC), which were held in Abuja from 21 to 24 June 2024.
The regional workshop dedicated to establishing the Regional Coordination of Users of the Volta Basin (RCU-VB) concluded on a historic note: the election and installation of the Regional Executive Board, marking a decisive step toward participatory governance of shared natural resources.

The AIP-African Union Multi-Country Green Climate Fund (GCF) Readiness Project has officially been launched in the Central African Republic. The launch took place during a high-level workshop held in Bangui on August 22, 2025, with financial support from the GCF and technical support from Global Water partnership – Central Africa.
For all Central Asian countries, the rational use of water and land resources remains among the most pressing priorities in adapting to climate change. As climate change in Central Asia advances at nearly twice the global average rate, there is an urgent need to intensify the exchange of experience among specialists across the region. Particular emphasis is placed on fostering communication and collaboration between experts from Innovation Centers and Techno Parks, which are recognized as the vanguard of scientific contributions to business acceleration.

In a collaborative effort to ensure the integrity and reliability of essential water infrastructure, GWP-C teamed up with Daniel and Daniel Engineering Inc. to conduct a comprehensive site inspection at the intake structure/dam and transmission/Distribution mains located in Mt. Granby, St. John. The seven-man technical team, assembled by Daniel and Daniel Engineering Inc., carried out the inspection under the expert guidance of retiree Michael “Freshy” Fleming.
