Integrating knowledge & practice for drought resilience: Following up on the first High-level meeting on National Drought Policies in 2013, the Drought Resilience +10 Conference aims at scaling up and accelerating drought action on the ground. It will bring together countries, experts and practitioners to review progress and lessons learnt in drought management to explore and define a joint way forward towards a more drought resilient world.
On 21 November 2025, the GWP Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) Regional Council gathered online and introduced the GWP’s new global strategy. From 6 to 8 May 2025 in Cotonou, Benin, around forty participants are taking part in a regional workshop to train stakeholders on the Knowledge Base of the Decision Support Tool (DST) for the sustainable planning and management of water resources in the Volta Basin.

The Regional Initiative for Water and Sanitation in the Mono cross-border basin (RIWE-Mono) aims to restore ecosystems, improve the living conditions of people living along the river and promote concerted, sustainable management of natural resources, while strengthening cross-border cooperation between the two countries (Benin and Togo) that share this watercourse.
