In recognition of Resilience Day at UNCCD COP 16 in Riyadh, UNCCD, GWP and International Drought Resilience Alliance (IDRA) are launching a global photo competition to highlight the critical issue of drought resilience and its connection to water scarcity and land degradation.
The Climate Risk and Early Warning Systems (CREWS) program initiative is a financial mechanism to establish risk-informed early warning services and works directly with countries to increase the availability of, and access to, early warning systems.
The updating of the Communication Strategy together with the Action Plan 2018-2020 of the Volta Basin Authority (VBA), has been integrated into the Implementation Plan of the Project "Reversing the Trends of Ecosystem and Water Resources Degradation in the Volta Basin (REWarD - Volta River Basin)", financed by the GEF and executed by the VBA and GWP-WA in close collaboration with UNEP and IUCN.
