The Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) participated in the Partnership Initiative for Sustainable Land Management’s (PISLM) 4th High Level Ministerial Meeting, held on June 18, 2025, at the Radisson Resorts Grenada. During the event, GWP-C reaffirmed its commitment to supporting regional efforts in sustainable water and land governance, particularly through its role in the implementation of the Caribbean Drought Initiative—one of the key undertakings of the regional Inter-Governmental Organisation, which recently signed a Headquarter Agreement with the Government of Grenada.

Angola and Namibia have officially launched the technical process for developing a Transboundary Diagnostic Analysis (TDA), Strategic Action Plan (SAP), and National Action Plans (NAP) for the Cuvelai and Kunene River Basins. The process is being undertaken under the "Enhanced Water Security and Community Resilience in the Adjacent Cuvelai and Kunene Transboundary River Basins (CUVKUN)" project, which is funded by the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and led by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) as the GEF Implementing Agency. The Global Water Partnership Southern Africa (GWPSA) is the Executing Agency, while the Cuvelai Commission (CUVECOM) and Kunene Permanent Joint Technical Committee (PJTC) are the focal custodians of the project implementation.
The first-ever Flood Risk Management Strategy and Action Plan for the Drin Basin aiming to enhance flood preparedness, improve risk management, and foster mutual support across the basin was endorsed by the representatives of the Drin Riparians.
The Global Water Leadership Program-Rwanda launched a response strategy aims at strengthening water resilience in Rwanda in the event held on 22 March 2024 at Radisson Blu Kigali.
