Stage 2 activities assist countries in formulating IWRM responses to water resources management challenges that contribute to advancing SDG 6.5.1 and other broader water-related SDGs that are national priorities
On 13 May, GWP Central America will present a report on the progress of implementing Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) in Central America. The report is based on the national SDG 6.5.1 consultations that were carried out in 2020 by GWP and Partners.
In 2020, GWP South America organised a contest among regional Partners. The topic was on Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) and featured projects successfully carried out in 2020. The top 5 submissions were shared in a series of webinars during April to June this year – presenting results, conclusions, and concerns.
The policy brief was developed to understand the current situation and challenges in ensuring water security at the Philippines. in the last part of the report, several recommendation were provided.
Indonesia, 30 June 2020 -- Global Water Partnership Southeast Asia and the International Association for Public Participation (IAP2) Indonesia successfully organized a Webinar "Coexistence with COVID-19: Learning from the crisis for a better Integrated Water Resources Management.” The webinar was held in Bahasa Indonesia was the third from the SERIAL DISCUSSION, co-organized by the two organization.
Africa Climate Week 2020 was set to place on 20-24 April in Kampala, Uganda, however, in light of the Coronavirus crisis, the event has been postponed - a new date is yet to be announced. The theme remains “Partnering for transformation towards a low-carbon climate resilient and prosperous Africa: managing risks, seizing opportunities.”
