Progress on the Drin component of the “SEE Nexus Project”, funded by the Austrian Development Corporation (ADC) was presented at the 17th Drin Core Group Meeting in Pristina, 30-31 May 2019. Key findings of the Drin Basin Nexus Assessment were presented.
The Green Climate Fund (GCF) is the only financing mechanisms of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), which is exclusively dedicated to addressing the climate crisis. Following on GWP’s engagement for gender equality, GWP Cameroon has carried out a study on gender-related impacts of fluorosis in northern Cameroon. The report, which is due to be published shortly, shows that impacts are significantly worse for girls and women and that gender-sensitive responses are needed. The report was discussed and validated at a workshop on 24 May in Maroua, Cameroon, by key institutional actors, development partners, and civil society groups.

This year, the Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) will reintroduce its Partner of the Year Award for 2019. The Partner of the Year will be announced in December 2019 and will be awarded a plaque from GWP-C.
