Representatives from Lebanese ministries joined a field visit to Nexus related projects in the Shouf region in Lebanon, aiming to address trade-offs across different sectors and generate socioeconomic and environmental advantages, organised by GWP-Med within the framework of the GEF UNEP/MAP MedProgramme.
Preparation of project documentation and a project fiche in the form of a GCF Concept Note for a Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystems (WEFE) Nexus initiative encompassing a Floating Photovoltaic Plant and Precision Agriculture Systems at Oued El Makhazine Dam and the associated irrigated perimeters in the Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (TTA) Region of Morocco.
Terrisha Walcott-Pierre, a dedicated Youth Ambassador for the Global Water Partnership Caribbean (GWP-C), and Public Health Professional, proudly completed a one-week internship in Jamaica from March 2nd to March 10th, 2024, as part of the GWP-C's Caribbean Water Academy for Youth (GWP-C WAY) programme. Pierre-Walcott was sponsored by the Global Water Partnership-Caribbean to continue her capacity building by completing her internship with the Water Resources Authority (WRA) of Jamaica.
