Water Agent V 003 project focuses on the environmental education of pupils in the field of water management.

GWP and its partners launched the Partnership for the Preparation of Water Projects Resilient to Climate Change in Africa at a workshop in Johannesburg from 19 to 21 September 2018.

The World Water Forum, held every three years, is the world’s biggest water-related event, contributing to the dialogue of decision-makers on water at the global level, building political commitment and triggering action on critical water issues. The Mediterranean water community has traditionally been very active at the World Water Forum, voicing core messages and highlighting experiences from the region. This contribution has been concretized through a dedicated Mediterranean Preparatory Process. The 8th World Water Forum took place this year (18-23 March, Brasilia, Brazil) under the overarching theme “Sharing Water” and its more than 300 sessions were attended by 10,600 participants.

The Panama chapter of the Central American Water Youth Network held its 2nd national youth conference in Chirquí, June 2 and 3, with the support of GWP and other organisations.

Learning Delta Asia Initiative (LDAI) Phase Two Inception Workshop was held on 6 to 7 December 2018 at Melia Hotel, Yangon, Myanmar.

The annual GWP Network Meeting will be held on 11 October at 13.00 Central European Time (CET). It is a virtual meeting, to be broadcast on the GWP website www.gwp.org – with a special guest message from UN Deputy Secretary General (DSG) Jan Eliasson. Inadequate country capacity to prepare GCF water projects

Six countries were represented at the 9th workshop on International Water Law for Latin America, held in Antigua, Guatemala, on 19-23 June. A GWP Technical Focus Paper on managing transboundary waters in Central America was also launched at the event.

The International Workshop on Water Scarcity: Taking action in transboundary basins and reducing health impacts will take place on 11 - 12 December 2017 in Geneva, Switzerland.
