The Summer School „Towards 2030 Agenda: A summer school for climate change, innovation and youth advocacy in water management“ will take place on 1- 6 July 2018 at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences in Warsaw, Poland.

GWP has committed to “building a water secured world” via its unique property--multiple-stakeholders participation (MSP). Over twenty years, the diverse network of GWP has depended on MSP that helps GWP promote its vision and missions, and set up partnerships with different organisations from 84 countries. WWF8 appears a festival to GWP and all concerning water issues who gathered in Brazil which is the 5th largest country with 85% vegetation, to exchange theories, practical lessons and achievements and develop networking.

On 29 August, Youth for Water and Climate #YWC took over the Young Professionals Booth at Stockholm World Water Week.

There is a challenge in convincing national and international leaders of the water sectors vulnerability to climate change.

GWP has supported the consultation process of francophone youth from 21 countries in the creation of a White Paper, which expresses the role of youth in the management of water in the context of climate change. The paper was presented at COP21 in Paris last year. GWP Central America and partners have now launched a contest for youth based on the recommendations of the White Paper.

This workshop will allow a comprehensive presentation of the activities/results of the scientific component of the Mekrou project, and also the installation of all developed or adapted tools (SWAT, EPIC, REFRAN CV, AquaSurvey, PostgreSQL, E-Water), on the computers of all participants and on new machines for scientific and technical structures (AGRHYMET, NBA, and 1 for each country).

Since 2013, GWPEA has been organizing annual regional media workshops aimed at building the capacity of media practitioners in IWRM and sensitizing them on their crucial role in covering water, climate and drought related topics.

GWP Central America has published a tool for municipalities with guidelines to integrate the IWRM approach to risk management in the municipal development plans.

Jakarta, 27 November 2018 -- A discussion to evaluate the cause of land subsidence in Jakarta was held in the Ministry of Public Works, Republic of Indonesia premises. Several experts from various technical background were presented their findings. On December 6 to 9, 2016, the newly appointed GWP Steering Committee (SC) member proposed by GWP China Region, Mdm. Qiuchi Shi, Deputy Director General, Department of Water Resources Management, the Ministry of Water Resources of China, attended the Steering Committee Meeting in Stockholm.
