Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C), in collaboration with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) Cartagena Convention Secretariat/Caribbean Environment Programme (CEP), are supporting several projects under the Multilateral Environmental Agreements in ACP Countries.

The first “International Workshop on Water and Agriculture in the Danube River Basin“ will take place from 6th to 7th November 2019 in Budapest, Hungary. The workshop is co-organised by the ICPDR, the Hungarian Ministry of Interior, the Hungarian Ministry of Agriculture and the Danube Strategy Priority Area 4 and hosted by the Hungarian Ministry of Agriculture.
Within the context of ensuring formal recognition by governments of CWPs in the region, the CAR Country Water Partnership engaged an expert to support the review of its statutory documents (Statutes and Internal Regulations).
From Monday 13 to Saturday 17 May 2019, a delegation from the Water Integrity Network (WIN) visited Benin as part of an exchange mission with the CWP and its partners involved in the fight for integrity in the water and sanitation sector.
Mr. Cheick Aboubacar BAMBARA and Boyla BASSOUROU are both nationals of Burkina Faso who joined GWP WA Secretariat in July 2018. They will support GWP - WA in the development and management of ongoing actions, programmes and projects in West Africa at the regional level and in some countries if relevant.
Progress on the Drin component of the “SEE Nexus Project”, funded by the Austrian Development Corporation (ADC) was presented at the 17th Drin Core Group Meeting in Pristina, 30-31 May 2019. Key findings of the Drin Basin Nexus Assessment were presented.
