CLOSED. Global Water Partnership-Mediterranean is seeking to hire a Programme Officer to be stationed at and support operations of its Tunis Office. The successful candidate will be hired by MIO-ECSDE, a civil non- profit society based in Greece, in its capacity as Host Institute for GWP-Med.

Coinciding with the UN’s Climate Action Summit in New York, GWP released a ‘sneak preview’ of impact stories from its Water, Climate and Development Programme (WACDEP). The African Climate Risks Conference (ACRC) is an open platform for sharing the latest African climate research among researchers, policy makers, practitioners and development partners. ACRC 2019 will be held 7-9 October in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The 2nd International River Summit 2019 is a global event organised every three years by the collaborative efforts of River water user Association (India)-IRDRA and International River Basin Foundation-WCPI, for action on sustainable development for water security, climate change, agriculture and food security. It will be held 28-30 November in Prayagraj, India.

"Millions of lives could be at risk if we don’t take the water crisis and global warming more seriously" was among the key closing messages of the 2019 World Water Week (25-30 August, Stockholm), organised by SIWI. Many of the Week’s 250+ sessions showcased water-related solutions to global challenges such as climate change and food scarcity. More than 4000 participants from 138 countries called upon governments, institutions and stakeholders including the private sector, to improve water management and practically implement available solutions to critical water challenges.
