The Climate Risk and Early Warning Systems (CREWS) program initiative is a financial mechanism to establish risk-informed early warning services and works directly with countries to increase the availability of, and access to, early warning systems.

As part of the project “Real-time Flood Risk Mapping” financed by the Adaptation Fund through the AFCIA program, two automatic multi-parameter stations were successfully installed in the rural commune of Koula from December 18 to 22, 2025.

The Global Water Partnership Southern Africa (GWPSA) participated in the 8th International River and Environment Cooperation (REMCO) Conference, held in Maputo, Mozambique, from 3 to 7 November 2025. Convening more than 150 delegates from Mozambique, Eswatini, South Africa, the Netherlands, and Germany, the conference served as a critical platform for advancing collaborative strategies to strengthen transboundary water governance and climate resilience across the Incomati and Maputo River Basins.
