Jakarta, Indonesia | September 13, 2025 - At Water Indonesia 2025, the Indonesian Water Association (IdWA) and the Global Water Partnership Southeast Asia (GWP SEA) gathered experts to discuss how Indonesia can move from water scarcity to sustainable solutions.

As part of the project “Real-time Flood Risk Mapping” financed by the Adaptation Fund through the AFCIA program, two automatic multi-parameter stations were successfully installed in the rural commune of Koula from December 18 to 22, 2025.
For all Central Asian countries, the rational use of water and land resources remains among the most pressing priorities in adapting to climate change. As climate change in Central Asia advances at nearly twice the global average rate, there is an urgent need to intensify the exchange of experience among specialists across the region. During the Horizon Europe SpongeWorks second General Assembly, participants were updated about the project's achievements, witnessed first hand the implementation of sponge measures in the French demonstrator and provided input on the way forward. GWP-Med received the Outreach and Impact award for its impactful communication of the project's activities.
