On July 6, 2016, the “Live Online Broadcast Launching the China Water Report” was kicked off at 15:00 of Beijing time (08:00 of British time).

The GEF Drin Project ‘Enabling transboundary cooperation and integrated water resources management in the extended Drin River Basin’ ^[1] organized its 1^st capacity building workshop on “Transboundary Water Cooperation and International Water Law” in Athens, on 14-15 June. 

A team of GWP-WA and CWP Burkina PNE had on June 11, 2015 a visit to assess the level of implementation of work on the site of the WACDEP demonstration project in Burkina Faso. This project involves the drip irrigation techniques for the efficient management of agricultural water for the benefit of vulnerable populations in the municipality of Loumbila in the center of the country.
Since the last visit in April 2015 there has been plowing work, the installation of some drip irrigation and water pumping equipment with solar energy, among others.

The GWP in Action 2016 Annual Report is now available online. It highlights many of the network’s activities achieved through 13 Regional Water Partnerships, 86 Country Water Partnerships, 3,427 Partners located in 183 countries, and generous donor agencies.

After being registered at the Ministry of Civil Affairs as an independent legal organization in March, 2016, GWP China is capable of expanding professional areas.

The First High Level Ministerial Panel on Responding to Climate and Environmental Challenges in South East Europe (SEE) took place on 1^st April 2016, in Podgorica, in the framework of the South East Europe Strategy 2020 and the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC).

The GWP CEE governance structure comprises Partners, Country Water Partnerships, a Regional Council and the Secretariat, based in Bratislava.
