GWP-Med and Coca-Cola in Greece launch new water resources protection program “Zero Drop” in the Municipality of Tanagra, Greece, with the support of The Coca-Cola Foundation
Terrisha Walcott-Pierre, a dedicated Youth Ambassador for the Global Water Partnership Caribbean (GWP-C), and Public Health Professional, proudly completed a one-week internship in Jamaica from March 2nd to March 10th, 2024, as part of the GWP-C's Caribbean Water Academy for Youth (GWP-C WAY) programme. Pierre-Walcott was sponsored by the Global Water Partnership-Caribbean to continue her capacity building by completing her internship with the Water Resources Authority (WRA) of Jamaica.
The Roundtable Discussion (RTD) on “The Impacts of Technology on Men and Women Engaged in Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM)” was successfully held on June 26, 2025 (Thursday) at the University Hotel, University of the Philippines Diliman Campus, Quezon City.
More than 60 stakeholders who attended the side-event "Gender Dynamics and the WEFE Nexus in the Mediterranean" co-organised by the UfM, AECID, GWP-Med and CAWTAR acknowledged that gender mainstreaming is the primary tool for attaining gender equality and redistributing power and influence in natural resources management.
As part of the WMO's technical assistance to the project to strengthen climate resilience in Burkina Faso (HYDROMET-BF Project), GWP- WA has coordinated the raising of awareness of hydrometeorological risks and impacts at the end of June 2025.
Following a unanimous decision of the steering committee of the Central African Republic Country Water Partnership (CWP CAR), the Director General of Water Resources, Mr. Barnabé FALIBA, was appointed chair of GWP-CAR, with Madam Yvette NDONGA as the vice chair.
