The Associated Programme on Flood Management (APFM) was jointly founded in 2001 by the World Meteorological Organization and the Global Water Partnership.

#COP21 commonly referred to as the United Nations Climate Change Conference is the 21st Session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). #COP21 kicked off on November 30^th and runs until December 11th, 2015 in France. 

GWP Central America and LatinClima, with the support of AECID, CATIE, Earth Journalism Network and MINAE Costa Rica, have organised an online course for Latin American journalists and communicators on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) with emphasis on water and climate change.

The Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) has done some major updates to its Caribbean Water and Climate Knowledge Platform which was developed under its Water, Climate and Development Programme (WACDEP) in 2014.

A water, energy and food nexus demonstration project, under the Water, Climate and Development Programme (WACDEP), is set to be implemented in the Tuli- Mtshabezi River Sub Basin of the Shashe sub catchment with emphasis at Mtshabezi Mission to build the resilience of the community around the Basin. As part of the preparatory work scheduled prior to project implementation, an exploratory site visit was undertaken by the team of consultants from the water, energy and food sector on the 17th of July 2015.

Global Water Partnership – Mediterranean (GWP-Med) was established in 2002 as the Mediterranean Regional Water Partnership of the Global Water Partnership (GWP) Network.

A new guidance document has been developed to support the design of well-balanced strategies for Integrated Flood Management. “This guidance document serves as the operational link between the policy and tool papers previously published by the Associated Programme on Flood Management (APFM),” said Johannes Cullman, Director of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) Climate and Water Department.
