The DIKTAS Project (2010 - 2015) was a collaborative effort to improve knowledge and attract the international community’s attention on the widespread, yet vulnerable and poorly understood karst aquifers in the Dinaric Region; it was also an effort to enhance coordination among countries, agencies and other stakeholders towards an equitable, sustainable, integrated management of the Dinaric Karst Aquifer System’s transboundary water resources and the protection of the unique dependent ecosystems from natural and man-made hazards including climate change.

Water security is under intense pressure in many urban areas, and the very nature of urbanisation contributes to water stress situations both from a quantity and quality perspective. GWP – in collaboration with India Water Partnership and WAPCOS Limited – addresses urban water issues in a daylong workshop on Friday 16 January at India Water Week 2015.

Bangladesh Water Partnership (BWP), in collaboration with the Institute of Microfinance (InM), organised a seminar on 15 November on micro finance in climate change adaptation. The Water Sector of the Southern African Development (SADC) today begins holding of three-day-long SADC National Water Weeks in each Member State to gather input towards the formulation of the fourth phase of the Regional Water Programme.
