On 30 September 2021, the day following his designation as new chair od GWP-WA, Mr. Abdoulaye SENE officially took up office after hand over ceremony with the outgoing chair, Prof. Amadou Hama MAIGA.
The International Water Summit (IWS) is a global platform for promoting water sustainability in arid regions by bringing together stakeholders to accelerate the development of new sustainable strategies and technologies. It takes place in Abu Dhabi, UAE, on 15-18 January 2018.
From 26th – 28th June 2018, meetings were held at WRC to review the Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) Tool for the water resources sub-sector to include climate change.
The event tackled the roles of LGUs, water districts, and stakeholders in the watersheds, updates and best practices in watershed management as well as other ingredients to ensure protection of our valued watersheds, in the context of planning, collaboration and action.
