Online, Indonesia | 3 September 2025 – The Global Water Partnership Southeast Asia (GWP-SEA) and the Indonesian Water Association (IdWA) successfully convened a webinar on “Water Security for Indonesia: From Scarcity to Solutions” as part of the Road to Water Indonesia 2025.
The 2nd Stakeholder Consultation for an Integrated Management Plan (IMP) of the Damour area in Lebanon brought together key stakeholders from 27–29 October in Beirut, followed by a MedProgramme outreach workshop on 30 October. Led by GWP-Med, the IMP promotes holistic, source-to-sea water management, linking land, river, delta, coast, and marine ecosystems to support sustainable development and effective implementation of national policies.
The African Union Commission, in partnership with the Global Water Partnership Africa, is fast-tracking climate finance readiness across the continent through the AU-AIP GCF Readiness Support Initiative, now being implemented in 15 AU Member States. Over recent months, the initiative has recorded tangible milestones that demonstrate growing institutional capacity, stronger investment preparation, and Africa’s readiness to absorb and deploy climate finance at scale.
