Global Water Partnership Southern Africa provided a Technical Assistance support to the Preparation of the Seychelles Integrated and Comprehensive Sanitation Master Plan from the 21^st to the 24^th March 2016

The United Nations post-2015 Development Agenda was adopted by Member States at the UN General Assembly in September 2015. GWP is committed to support countries in the monitoring and implementation of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 6, which is dedicated to water. With this aim, GWP, along with global partners, has initiated an SDG Support Programme (SDG6-SP).

Global Water Partnership Central Africa (GWP-CAf) and Lake Chad Basin Commission  (LCBC)are re recruiting  two experts  (an Expert in Project Development and an Expert in Hydrology / Meteorology) to work on the “ Development of a full project proposal on the establishment of an Early Warning System within the Lake Chad Basin Area “

The CEPF funded Act4Drin project and the GEF/UNDP/GWP-Med project 'Enabling transboundary cooperation and integrated water resources management in the extended Drin River Basin' (GEF Drin Project) are joining forces to raise public awareness about the natural wealth and legacy of the Drin River Basin on the occasion of Drin Day 2016.

GWPO, the global GWP secretariat hosted by the Government of Sweden, provides overall support and coordination to the broader GWP network and also represents GWP in international processes and dialogues.

World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and Global Water Partnership South Asia (GWP SAS) will be jointly organising ‘Climate Services User Forum (CSUF 27 and 28 April 2016) for the Water Sector in South Asia’ in association with WMO’s South Asian Climate Outlook Forum (SASCOF-8) in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

The Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) with support from the Global Water Partnership (GWP), has produced a new case study entitled “Mainstreaming Rainwater Harvesting (RWH) to Build Climate Resilience in the Caribbean Water Sector.”

Global Water Partnership (GWP) announced that Dr Jerome Delli Priscoli is the new GWP Technical Committee Chair, effective April 4, 2016. The appointment is made by the GWP Steering Committee.
