The annual GWP Network Meeting will be held on 11 October at 13.00 Central European Time (CET). It is a virtual meeting, to be broadcast on the GWP website www.gwp.org – with a special guest message from UN Deputy Secretary General (DSG) Jan Eliasson. KARACHI - At least 37 more people lost their lives on Thursday from the scorching heat wave in Karachi, bringing the death toll to 1550.
Hospitals statistics revealed that some 37 people have died during 24 hours.

The Global Water Partnership – Mediterranean (GWP-Med) had been selected and serves as the overall coordinator for these “MENA Focus” events. The sessions were organized in partnership with a number of international regional institutions and organisations. “Strengthening Water Governance through Integrity and Sustainable Financing” was the second out of the four sessions, held on the 30th of August.
Mr Iswer Raj Onta, Regional Chair Global Water Partnership South Asia (GWP SAS) (2013-2015), passed away on Sunday, 6 March 2016. The entire GWP Network is saddened by his departure and it is a great loss to the South Asia Region.
