GWP, together with the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) organised a Consultation Meeting on the Proposed Integrated Drought Management Programme in Geneva, Switzerland, 15-16 November 2010.
Ambassadors from ten Asian Embassies in Stockholm visited the GWPO offices on 18 March at the invitation by the Executive Secretary, to talk about water and GWP’s work in their respective countries and regions.
The Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) Secretariat had the unique experience of spending the day at the headquarters of its newest partner, the Toco Foundation on September 14th, 2011.
The Dialogue Workshop on Water Resources Protection and Emergency Response Mechanisms of Water Pollution of Yellow River was co-organized by the GWP China Yellow River for deep discussion about the experiences of river protection, current challenges of water resources management and protection, emergency responses of river basin pollution and problems of emergency response mechanisms.

The Workshop on Groundwater Management for Coping with Climate Change cosponsored by China Institute of Water Resource and Hydropower Research and the Groundwater Monitoring Centre of Ministry of Water Resources, was held on March 22~23, 2011 in Beijing.
The Volta River Basin is one of the largest river systems in Africa covering an area of approximately 400,000 km2. The river basin stretches from latitude 5o 30' N in Ghana to 14o 30' N in Mali.
A successful Capacity Building Workshop on “Flood Management in a Transboundary Context” was organized on the 13th and 14th of December in Zagreb, Croatia, under the Petersberg Phase II / Athens Declaration Process by the Global Water Partnership- Mediterranean (GWP-Med) with the support of the German Ministry of Environment and GEF IWLEARN.
