Announcement: Short-term consultancy Services

GWP Eastern Africa was constituted in 2003 by stakeholders to support the sustainable development and management of water resources at all levels in the region. It focuses on achieving the vision, mission and strategic goals of GWP global through approved workplans and budgets. It is based in Entebbe, Uganda.

 

One of GWPEA key partners to convey its messages and reach out to various stakeholders is the media. GWPEA values its crucial role and is constantly engaged in media relation initiatives, building the capacity of media practitioners and journalists to pick interest in water and climate change reporting so that there is an increase in number and quality of related stories in the media.

GWP-C Media Awards on Water Winner Receives Prize

During the month of September, Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) through the support of its partner, the National Water and Sewerage Authority (NAWASA) of Grenada presented the winner of the 2013 GWP-C Media Awards on Water, Mr. Milton Coy with his winning prize.

7th SADC Dialogue - “Watering Development in SADC: The central role of water in driving industrialisation”

The 7th SADC Multi Stakeholder Water Dialogue, a biennial activity which provides a platform for regional stakeholders to discuss and share experiences on different aspects of Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) will this year be held from the 29th to the 30th of September in Windhoek, Namibia. Running under the theme “Watering Development in SADC: The central role of water in driving industrialization” this year's Water Dialogue will focus on unpacking the role that water will play in driving industrialisation in the region. GWP Eastern Africa trains water professionals in IWRM

From 19-23 May 2014, the GWPEA in partnership with the Kenya Water Partnership and the Nile IWRM Net organised a regional training workshop on Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) as a tool for adaptation to climate change. The training aimed to strengthen the capacities of the countries in the Nile Basin and regional organisations for understanding climate change impacts and develop and implement adaptation programmes.

World Water Week 2015 in Stockholm: Session on water governance & sustainable financing

“Improving water governance for achieving financial sustainability in the Mediterranean” is the topic of the event organised by Global Water Partnership - Mediterranean (GWP-Med), during the upcoming World Water Week in Stockholm, within the framework of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) labelled project ‘Governance & Financing for the Mediterranean Water Sector’ and with the financial support of the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida).
