Importance of Water Acknowledged at COP19

This year’s UN Climate Change Conference (COP19) brought some good news for the water community, said the GWP delegates who participated at the event in Warsaw, Poland 11-22 November.

2014 GWP-University of Dundee International Water Law Scholarship Programme

As capacity-building support to its Partner organizations, GWP, together with the University of Dundee will offer scholar-ships for 30 participants to undertake a module in International Water Law, in Dundee 9-20 June 2014.

 

Applications will be accepted from 20 November 2013 to 15 February 2014.

Rwanda-Burundi to Fast-Track WACDEP Implementation

Water, Climate and Development Programme (WACDEP) implementation team from Rwanda and Burundi resolved to fast-track the implementation activities and fill existing gaps identified in the 2013. The commitment was expressed during a joint review and self-assessment meeting bringing together 21 participants in Kigali, Rwanda November, 8th 2013.

Workshop on Integrated Water Management of Yellow River Basin under the Strictest Water Resources Management System

GWP China Yellow River, jointly with Yellow River Institute of Hydraulic Research and Yellow River Research Society, invited stakeholders from governmental organizations and NGOs as well as related experts and practitioners to discuss how to make better practice of integrated river basin management of the Yellow River under the new policies on November 20 and 21, 2013 in Zhengzhou, Henan Province.
