GWP China representatives were at the 7th World Water Forum in Korea in April, taking part in many of the events and sessions of the conference. In addition to delegates from the regional secretariat, some experts from GWP China Regional Water Partnerships were actively facilitating the processes.
Up to 300 participants from more than 30 countries were gathered for the Gender, Water and Development Conference, 7-11 November in East London, South Africa. The conference is organised as a step towards an on-going journey to change equality, equity and development in the water sector.
On January 30, 2015, the IUCN China Office organized a “Members’ Working Meeting and Certificate Issuing for Protected Areas of IUCN Green List” in Beijing.

IUCN-PACO and Global Water Partnership West Africa (GWP-WA) announced the winners of the 2nd edition of the Journalism competition « Water and Environment". The topic of the competition is "Water, an endangered resource, what solutions for the future? "
The Regional Inter-University Knowledge Sharing Workshop kicked off in Uganda’s capital Kampala, December, 5th 2012, participants urged for sustainable water resources management as a means to reverse the continuing water scarcity in the region.
Global Water Partnership (GWP) welcomes the aspirational 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development adopted by Member States at the UN General Assembly on September 25, 2015. The transformational vision of the agenda is ambitious and will need an unwavering commitment on the part of everyone. GWP will play its part.
A National Consultation on the inclusion of a water specific Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) in the post 2015 Development Agenda of the United Nations was held on April 24th 2014, in Tunis. It was organized by the Global Water Partnership – Mediterranean (GWP-Med), under the auspices of the Water Resources Department of the Tunisian Ministry for Agriculture, and the Sustainable Development Department of the State Secretariat for Sustainable Development at the Ministry for Infrastructure, Land Planning and Sustainable Development.
CamboWP (Cambodia Water Partnership) was executing in 2014 the Project: “4Ps Area acknowledged by the policy makers’ level to support water security policy in the Mekong Basin of Cambodia”, under WACDEP #2: WP 2: National Development and Sector Plans. The project reviewed existing water policies and interventions and supported for an update of them with water security and climate resilience planning and for bringing them into account in the national development planning and decision making processes. The project provided decision makers and policy manager with overview of the basic knowledge and experiences as well as recommendations found by the project that supported them in developing, reviewing and implementing water and related policies, strategies and regulations in the whole country.
Aquatech India 2014 was held from 6 to 8 May 2014 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi under the auspices of Amsterdam RAI and Inter Ads-Brooks Exhibitions (India) Pvt. Ltd. India Water Partnership (IWP) supported Aquatech 2014 as a technical contributor and knowledge partner.
