Dr. Ania Grobicki has been appointed as the Global Water Partnership’s Executive Secretary. Ania Grobicki is currently the Head of the Secretariat for the multi-stakeholder forum on strengthening research for health, development and equity worldwide which was established to prepare for the 2008 Global Ministerial Forum on Research for Health.
The solutions of many of the problems caused by climate change are within the sectors of society which manage water. Adaptation to climate change is about water and development – yet the world’s aid to improving water security decreases. The new GWP Technical Committee Chair Dr. Mohamed Ait Kadi visited the Global Water Partnership secretariat in Stockholm 5-6 October 2009.
GWP China Shaanxi, jointly with Drinking Water Safety Center of MWR, Shaanxi CHES, WWF Beijing Office, and with support of Shaanxi People’s Congress General Office, Shaanxi Provincial Water Resources Department, Hanzhong City Government, held “Post-quake Water Facilities Reconstruction Session” on November 11 to 13, 2009 in Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province.
