About 500 GWP partners from the thirteen GWP Regions gathered online on May 25th for the 2022 GWP Network meeting to share experiences and discuss initiatives geared toward leading the change and innovation in the water sector.
Co-led by the UfM Secretariat, AECID, PRIMA, GWP-Med and CAWTAR, the Initiative on Gendering the WEFE Nexus in the Mediterranean highlights the significant role women play in managing water, energy, and food resources and the need for a gender-transformative approach in policy and governance frameworks.

Global Water Partnership Central and Eastern Europe, as a partner of the EU Horizon 2020 OPTAIN project, organized its 2023 Summer School for 21 selected MSc and PhD students and graduates, working in the field of water management. The selected students represented the countries of Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, Finland, France, Germany, Ghana, Hungary, Iran, Kosovo, Lithuania, Norway, Philippines, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sri Lanka and Turkey.
The SDG 6 IWRM Support Programme assists governments in designing and implementing their responses to SDG indicator 6.5.1, the degree of implementation of IWRM, to accelerate progress towards the achievement of water-related SDGs and other development goals. This directly supports the official SDG monitoring and reporting processes, leading to measurable progress on the relevant SDG targets. The Support Programme is structured around 3 stages and offers also specific support on selected thematic priorities.
