The Suriname Water Resources Information System (SWRIS) Project has enhanced water resources management in the country. As well as the online information system, the project has developed a water video, a collection of hydro-meteorological field data, awareness programmes about water resources for primary and secondary schools, training, and academic courses at the BSc and MSc level.
Global Water Partnership Caribbean continues to engage in a series of public education activities targeted at building awareness on rainwater harvesting as a means of water conservation. Its latest outreach was to more than 1,000 students and teachers from 42 schools in Trinidad and Tobago.

On 25 April, GWP Rwanda took a first step to implement the Water Resources Management (WRM) Strategy of Rwanda by holding a workshop, jointly organized with the Netherlands Development Organization under the theme: "Towards IWRM through collaboration and partnerships between all actors at all levels".
Within the framework of implementing the climate change related commitments of the Sharm el-Sheikh Declaration on Water and Sanitation, GWP and AMCOW are implementing the Water Climate Development programe (WACDEP). The WACDEP aims to support African countries develop No/low regrets Water Security and Climate Resilience Investment Strategies, Plans and projects, and promote the integration of water security and climate resilience into national development plans.
For solving the problem of water supply for the water saving ecological campus, GWP China Shaanxi, jointly with Shaanxi Provincial Department of Water Resources, Shaanxi Provincial Department of Education and Shaanxi Ecological Campus Innovation Programme Office, organized the Conference on Water-Saving Ecological Campus Construction on June 13th, 2010 in Xi’an, Shaanxi Province.
