WACDEP Zimbabwe contributes to NCCRS review process

WACDEP Zimbabwe held a Catchments and Sub-Catchments Consultation and Action Planning Workshop from 12-13 September 2013, in Kadoma, about 140km south-west of Harare. The workshop with the aim of contributing towards the review and submission of written comments for the first draft of the National Climate Change Response Strategy for Zimbabwe (NCCRS) attracted over 65 participants (chairpersons from some of the 47 Sub-catchment and 7 Catchments in Zimbabwe, and officials from MWRDM and Zimbabwe National Water Authority (ZINWA). Africa Water Weeks

The Africa Water Week (aww) is organized by the African Ministers Council on Water (AMCOW) and represents a political commitment at the highest level with over 1000 participants from governments, regional institutions, international partners, the private sector, the scientific community, civil society, and the media from all over the world, and in particular Africa, meeting to discuss and collectively seek solutions to Africa’s water and sanitation challenges.

The Mono Basin Authority established

The constitutive texts for the establishment of the Mono River Basin Authority (MBA) have been approved by the two countries (Benin and Togo) after a meeting of Ministers on July 4th, 2014 in Cotonou. The meeting of Ministers was preceded by a meeting of experts on 2 and 3 July 2014 to analyze documents that were approved by Ministers.

Slovenia
