The study tour of the IFAS working group (WG) to the Commission on the Mekong River organized by the Central Asian Water and Energy Program, managed by the World Bank and the OECD, was held from 2 to 7 April 2023.
In commemoration of World Water Day 2024 and to support the 10th World Water Forum, GWP Indonesia is holding a series of activities through the 5th Indonesian Water Forum. The “Drina Nexus Roadmap”, was praised for its potential to guide transboundary cooperation towards sustainable development in the Drina basin, by high-level panelists at the Sarajevo Energy and Climate Week. The Roadmap was developed in 2022 by Global Water Partnership-Mediterranean together with the UNECE, in the frame of the SEE Nexus project funded by the Austrian Development Agency.
As part of the Asia-Pacific Water Scarcity Programme (WSP), the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas and the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) convened the second National Multidisciplinary Team (NMT) Meeting online on Tuesday, August 13, 2024. Seventy-six members from various ministries and organizations participated in the webinar to review the progress of the WSP and discuss the updated framework for the Water Scarcity Action Plan (WSAP).
On Friday, 11 August 2023 the Regional Steering Committee meeting was held. 16 persons was involved in the discussion representing Regional Water Partnership, Country Water Partnerships, and GWP Organisation represented by a Senior Network Officer for Caribbean and Southeast Asia.
Project to support the operationalization of Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) to strengthen resilience to climate change in transboundary basins in West Africa (PAGIREC- AO), this is the title of the funding request whose validation of the detailed request motivated the restricted technical regional workshop organized on December 14 and 15, 2023 in Ouagadougou by the Department of Agriculture, Water Resources and Environment (DAREN) of the WAEMU Commission, in collaboration with the Water Resources Management Centre (CGRE) of the ECOWAS Commission and the Global Water Partnership in West Africa (GWP-WA).
On September 19, 2024, marking the celebration of National Science Day 2024, the Yellow River Lecture was triumphantly held within the esteemed premises of 80 students from Zhengzhou No. 47 Junior High School, embracing the central theme, "Enhancing Public Comprehension of Scientific Knowledge and Fostering Contributions to a Technological Powerhouse."
