Located in the Baltic Sea Basin, water quality management is one of the Poland's key issues, creating problems for people’s livelihoods and the environment. Due to year-to-year variability in its water resources, devastating floods and local water scarcities are frequent.
In 2008, the Sri Lanka Water Partnership (SLWP) began working with the Water Integrity Network (WIN) to fight corruption surrounding illicit and unregulated river sand mining.
This package includes six DVDs containing videos and learning material on several water related themes. It was produced by the Water Channel and supported by GWP and other agencies.
In an effort to engage the youth and help them understand the value of access to potable water, the Grenada Community Development Agency (GRENCODA) held a four-day Student Assistance Programme (SAP) Camp for students between the ages of 12-16 years under the theme “Water a Critical Development Resource, Seriously Challenged.”
The Fourth Wei River Forum was joint organized by the GWP China Shaanxi, Shaanxi Provincial Department of Water Resources and Wei River Management Bureau of Shaanxi Province in Xi’an, Shaanxi Province on October 13, 2010.
