GWP Honduras together with Fundación Vida and the Association of Municipalities of Honduras (AMHON) coordinated a workshop to train representatives of 25 municipalities of western Honduras on IWRM in the city of Danli, on September 6, 2012. This activity was part of a broader program led by AMHON and the National Forest Conservation Institute (ICF) on the protection of forests. The objective was to impart knowledge on the main concepts of IWRM to increase its use in local settings.

Uzbekistan is experiencing water scarcity, an issue which will be exacerbated with increased demand. Although policies exist, the water seldom reaches the end water users. To combat this issue, action has been taken by GWP Uzbekistan to conduct trainings and workshops on the dissemination of IWRM to encourage a participatory multi-sector approach. This case study illustrates the importance of public awareness, and the need for work to be conducted at all levels.

Water, Climate and Development Programme (WACDEP) Training of Trainers (ToT) on ‘Economics of Adaptation, Water Security and Climate Resilient Development in Africa’ - Contribution to national adaptation plan Global Support Programme (NAP-GSP) – will be held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia from 25th to 29th November 2013.

This year's World Water Week takes place in Stockholm 1-6 September 2013.
