The Global Water Partnership (GWP) is a worldwide network and an intergovernmental organisation, supporting countries and regions in their vision for a water secure world and their mission to support the sustainable development and management of water and related resources worldwide. GWP has a network of over 2600 partner organisations, with 13 Regional Water Partnerships and 80 Country Water Partnerships.
Caribbean Ministers with responsibility for water resources management, along with regional water managers and other experts were brought together to discuss “Water Management Financing in the Caribbean” at Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) and the Caribbean Water and Wastewater Association’s (CWWA) 7th Annual High Level Session (HLS) on October 6th and 7th, 2011 in Guadeloupe.
The 6th WWF was taken place on March 12 to March 17, in Marseille, France. The delegation of GWP China which was formed with four members and led by Dong Zheren, the Standing vice Chair of GWP China participated in the forum.
The Workshop on Efficient Use of Water Resources and Ecological Compensation on Loess Pleteau of the Yellow River, co-organized by GWP China Yellow River and Yellow River Research Institute, was held on September 27 and 28, 2010, Zhengzhou, Henan Province.
The 6th Meeting of the Circle of Mediterranean Parliamentarians for Sustainable Development (COMPSUD) took place on May 3-4, in Corfu island, Greece, with the participation of 30 MPs from 15 countries and representatives of regional organisations. The Meeting concluded with the Corfu Declaration.
