ABOUT

The Global Water Partnership-Central Africa (GWP-CAf), one of the thirteen Regional Water Partnerships, started its activities in Central Africa in 2004 with the Central Africa Technical Committee in short (GWP-CAfTAC). In 2008, the GWP-CAf, Central African Regional Water Partnership (GWP-CAf) was formally established.

New Water Partnership in Chile

GWP Chile was accredited as a Country Water Partnership on April 9. In response to a congratulatory letter from GWP Executive Secretary Dr Ania Grobicki, GWP Chile Chair Ms María Angelica Alegria explained some of the water-related challenges facing her nation in light of its recent earthquake.

Water Evaluation and Planning System for Lebanon

GWP Mediterranean, as the Secretariat of the Mediterranean Component of the EU Water Initiative (MED EUWI), has since since 2005 supported the efforts of the Lebanese Ministry of Energy and Water towards an Integrated Water Management Planning in the country. Through technical assistance by the MED EUWI and GWP Mediterranean, the Lebanese Ministry of Energy and Water (MEW) aims to put in place a decision support system to examine alternative water development and management strategies to support IWRM Planning.

Water and Climate Coalition Launched during the Climate Talks in Bonn

Water Stakeholders Focus on IWRM Implementation in Trinidad and Tobago

Representatives from government ministries, non-governmental organanisations (NGOs) and community-based organisations (CBOs) all convened on February 15th, 2012 for the 8th Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) Stakeholder Meeting put on by the Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) and the Water Resources Agency (WRA) of Trinidad and Tobago.
