A Country Water Partnership (CWP) according to the Global Water Partnership (GWP) Organisation is seen as a body that is made up of the GWP Partners in a country.

Ghana lies along the Gulf of Guinea in West Africa. The country extends inland to about latitude 11° north covering a distance of 672 km from south to north. 

With a surface area of 27,834 square km², Burundi is located between the 29° and 30°25 eastern meridians and between the 2°20 and 4°25 southern parallels. Burundi’s population is estimated at 8 million inhabitants.

Following up on the Regional Seminar on IWRM Planning in North Africa (Rabat, 24-25 January 2006), which assessed progress and discussed the challenges towards achieving the IWRM in the countries of North Africa, a Workshop on Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) in Libya will take place in Tripoli, Libya, on 11 and 12 April 2007.

Within the framework of implementing the climate change related commitments of the Sharm el-Sheikh Declaration on Water and Sanitation, GWP and AMCOW are implementing the Water Climate Development programe (WACDEP). The WACDEP aims to support African countries develop No/low regrets Water Security and Climate Resilience Investment Strategies, Plans and projects, and promote the integration of water security and climate resilience into national development plans.

GWP is a global action network. Its chief focus is to support social change processes that further the sustainable management and development of water resources. To do this, the network invites like-minded organisations to join this global movement.

GWP Pakistan collaborated on a National Workshop on Pakistan’s Preparations for the UN Conference on Sustainable Development in Islamabad on 12-13 September 2011. GWP Pakistan held a side event to promote IWRM and water saving/recycling and environmental conservation measures at ground level. The workshop was organized by the Sustainable Development Policy Institute, UN One and the Rio+20 Secretariat.
