– Report from GWP’s Side Event at Astana 2011
At the Seventh “Environment for Europe” Ministerial Conference in Astana, Kazakhstan, GWP convened a side event titled, “Economic Growth and Water: An Integrated Approach Helps” on September 23, 2011. GWP Chair Dr Letitia A Obeng emphasized that “When we speak about the economy and economic growth we speak about water resources.”

GWP’s e-newsletter NewsFlow is an instrument for inter-regional sharing that is meant to strengthen the GWP Network in building knowledge and capacity.

Workshop on Integrated Water Environment Management in the Light of Guoshoujing Innovative Spirit was organized to learn and develop innovative spirit in the field of water environment management in the name of Guoshoujing on purpose.
GWP China-Fujian, with support from the Fujian Provincial Water Resources Department, carried out a survey on water resources, including rural drinking water safety. The purpose of the investigation was to ensure an integrated and sustainable approach to water resources management for the planned construction of an economic zone.
