Fifty water professionals attended a Capacity Building Workshop on Integrated Water Resources Management on November 25-28, 2008 in Skhoder Lake, Albania. The focus was on the conditions in the transboundary Drin River Basin.
A major characteristic of the water-climate scenario in Eastern and North-Eastern India is the frequency of droughts and floods following each other in succession. In such an environment, low cost water-saving technologies for farmers and other water users becomes essential.

The annual Global Water Partnership Consulting Partners Meeting will be held in the vicinity of the Arlanda Airport, Stockholm, Sweden on September 3rd – 4th immediately before the Stockholm World Water Week. The theme of the meeting will be: “Exploring the role of Water Security in Regional Economic Development”.

The Global Oceans Conference 2010 is hosted by UNESCO and the Government of France and provides a major opportunity for all sectors of the global oceans community to make progress in advancing the global oceans agenda.
