The Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) in partnership with the Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre (CCCCC) is implementing a Water Climate and Development Programme (WACDEP) for the Caribbean.

Public institutions, Civil Society Organizations, Academia, Media and other national stakeholders from Water Sector, Agriculture and Energy discussed about key priority water issues that need to be incorporated in the next development agenda termed as Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs).

The GWP in Action 2016 Annual Report is now available online. It highlights many of the network’s activities achieved through 13 Regional Water Partnerships, 86 Country Water Partnerships, 3,427 Partners located in 183 countries, and generous donor agencies.

The Ghana Country Water Partnership (CWP-Ghana) has held the validation meeting for the report on the study entitled “Impacts and Vulnerability assessment of Climate Change in the Upper East Region of Ghana and pathways to Creating Green Solutions and Integrating Climate-Smart Interventions into development Planning”. The program took place at the SSNIT conference room at Bolgatanga on 17^th July, 2014 and was chaired by Mr Aduna from the White Volta Basin Office (WVB).

 

Dr. Natalie Boodram, Programme Manager of the GWP-C Water, Climate and Development Programme (WACDEP) for the Caribbean, will be presenting two specialist lectures at The University of the West Indies (UWI), St. Augustine Campus in Trinidad on April 3^rd and 7^th, 2014 at 8:00 a.m. - 8:50 a.m.

"Capacity Building" in water resources management and related issues, is one of the Global Water Partnership-Caribbean's distinctive niches. The organisations provides training and technical expertise in a range of water-related areas.

The theme of the 4th Africa Water Week 14-18 May in Cairo, Egypt, is “Water for Growth in Africa, AMCOW’s Journey @10”. The Global Water Partnership will be launching the AMCOW/GWP Strategic Framework material. GWP will have a booth and is also a convenor and co-convenor of sub-themes and will be participating at the following events:

On 27-28 May 2014 in Almaty, Kazakhstan there was held the Regional Conference "Prospects of water resources management in Central Asia: From the river basin approach to regional cooperation".
