Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) in collaboration with its partner the Caribbean Agricultural Research and Development Institute (CARDI) will engage technicians and practitioners in the Agriculture Sector from Barbados in a training workshop on Water Use Efficiency (WUE). In Ukraine, lack of permanent access to clean drinking water is an important environmental, as well as a health issue, which is one of the most water deficient countries in Europe with less then 1,000 m3 per capita per year.
Water is central to Africa's development. To implement the climate change commitments in the Sharm el Sheikh Declaration and address the threat of climate change in Africa, the management of water resources must move to the top of the development agenda. This is the overall goal of the Water, Climate and Development Programme for Africa, that runs from May 2011 to April 2016.
