Bali, Indonesia | June 4, 2025 — Water resource leaders from across Southeast Asia convened in Bali for the 25th ASEAN Working Group on Water Resources Management (AWGWRM) Meeting. The event featured an open consultation in collaboration with the UN Water Convention, focusing on advancing transboundary water cooperation in the region.
On September 19, 2024, marking the celebration of National Science Day 2024, the Yellow River Lecture was triumphantly held within the esteemed premises of 80 students from Zhengzhou No. 47 Junior High School, embracing the central theme, "Enhancing Public Comprehension of Scientific Knowledge and Fostering Contributions to a Technological Powerhouse."

This conference, marking the 11th anniversary of the launch of IDMP by GWP and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), served as a critical milestone in the global conversation on drought and water scarcity. 22 March 2025, Cape Town. To mark World Water Day, GWP announces a major milestone in the ongoing Global Transformation Agenda on Water Investments: the establishment of the headquarters of the Global Water Partnership Organisation (GWPO) Transition Office in South Africa
Approximately 150 households within the Mt Granby and Mt Nesbit communities in St. John’s, are poised to benefit from enhanced access to water, following the commissioning of a refurbished Community Water System. This initiative marks a significant milestone for the Global Water Partnership-Caribbean and the organisation's ongoing efforts to ensure a water secure Caribbean. Water scarcity has long been a pressing issue in these two communities, because of the old leaky pipes which resulted in increased abstraction of water from the source and reduction in the flow of water into the stream it feeds. This has impacted daily life and economic activities including agriculture, health, and overall quality of life of community members.
Terrisha Walcott-Pierre, a dedicated Youth Ambassador for the Global Water Partnership Caribbean (GWP-C), and Public Health Professional, proudly completed a one-week internship in Jamaica from March 2nd to March 10th, 2024, as part of the GWP-C's Caribbean Water Academy for Youth (GWP-C WAY) programme. Pierre-Walcott was sponsored by the Global Water Partnership-Caribbean to continue her capacity building by completing her internship with the Water Resources Authority (WRA) of Jamaica.
