Eighteen (18), industry professionals including laboratory technicians, are now better prepared to monitor and test wastewater, following their participation in a five-day Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) and Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) regional workshop.
The Global Water Partnership Southern Africa (GWPSA) participated in the 8th International River and Environment Cooperation (REMCO) Conference, held in Maputo, Mozambique, from 3 to 7 November 2025. Convening more than 150 delegates from Mozambique, Eswatini, South Africa, the Netherlands, and Germany, the conference served as a critical platform for advancing collaborative strategies to strengthen transboundary water governance and climate resilience across the Incomati and Maputo River Basins.
African leaders, water experts, development partners, and regional institutions have reaffirmed the urgent need to strengthen cooperation and investment in Africa’s shared water resources during the Continental Level Consultation and Exchange Event on Transboundary Water Cooperation, held from 17 to 18 February 2026 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The 2nd Stakeholder Consultation for an Integrated Management Plan (IMP) of the Damour area in Lebanon brought together key stakeholders from 27–29 October in Beirut, followed by a MedProgramme outreach workshop on 30 October. Led by GWP-Med, the IMP promotes holistic, source-to-sea water management, linking land, river, delta, coast, and marine ecosystems to support sustainable development and effective implementation of national policies.
