The new State Water Policy of Rajasthan, the largest state in India by area, puts the emphasis on two components: an integrated water resources management approach and the efficient working of Water User Groups (WUG). During 2010, GWP India with the support of its Northern Zone Water Partner, organized two workshops for the capacity building of NGOs involved in the implementation of the new policy.

As capacity-building support to its Partner organisations, the Global Water Partnership and the University of Dundee, will offer scholarships for 30 participants to undertake a module in International Water Law, in Dundee, August 1-19, 2011. Applications will be accepted from
4 March to 30 April 2011.
The 6th edition of the European River Restoration Conference, integrated with the Final event of the SEE River project, will be held in Vienna.
The 2014 Global Water Partnership (GWP) Consulting Partners Meeting which was held on June 27th and 28th, 2014 in Trinidad closed with an Annual Lecture entitled “Climate and Water: Global to Local Caribbean Socio-Economic Climate Change Scenarios” which was delivered by Professor John B.R. Agard.
At a GWP press briefing on 8 June 2010 at the UNFCCC climate change negotiations in Bonn, Germany, GWP Executive Secretary Dr. Ania Grobicki called for water, climate and development to be integrated into the UNFCCC's work on adaptation.

The Foreign Affairs Division Directors Workshop was organized by Department of International Cooperation, Science and Technology, Ministry of Water Resources(MWR).
The workshop on Xiangjiang River Basin Management, organized by GWP China Hunan, was held on November 24 -25, 2011 in Hengyang, Hunan Province with over 70 participants from governmental agencies, research institutions, universities and NGOs. Mr. Zheng Rugang, the Coordinator of GWP China, participated and made a speech on behalf of GWP China.
The December 7th, 2010 saw summing up and commending meeting marking 10th anniversary of “Water Cellar for Mothers” Project, which was launched by the China Women's Development Foundation, in the National Indoor Stadium in Beijing.
