This handbook articulates the links between pressures and IWRM responses. Drawing on many experiences around the world, it provides practical guidance for improving the governance of freshwater resources through effective application of the IWRM approach in lakes, river basins, and aquifers. This Handbook was produced jointly by GWP and the International Network of Basin Organizations (INBO) in order to capture experiences with planning and implementing IWRM.

A smart strategy for change reduces transaction costs, counters political opposition, and exploits synergies both within and outside water institutions. This brief elaborates on the different stages of crafting such a strategy. It gives examples of changes that reveal the common elements among the successes and the failures. South Africa IWRM Report

 At the end of the Global Water Partnership’s (GWP) Consulting Partners meeting and the start of the Stockholm World Water Week, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the GWP and the European Water Partnership (EWP).

The China-India Youth Forum was taken place in Beijing, August, 2009. As the co-sponsor of this forum, GWP China sent Mr. Zheng Rugang, Secretary General of GWP China, as the representative to discuss with the counterparts from Peking University about the preparatory issues.
