From September 16 to 19, 2025, a regional capacity-building workshop was held in Lomé on the water resources model and the Decision Support Tool (DST) for sustainable planning and management of the Volta River Basin. Organized as part of the REWarD – Volta River Basin project, this workshop is part of a regional effort to strengthen transboundary water governance and restore the basin’s ecosystems.

The Government of the Republic of South Africa, in partnership with the African Union - Continental Africa Water Investment Programme (AU-AIP) invites members of the media wishing to cover the forthcoming African Union-AIP Water Investment Summit to apply for accreditation. Ouagadougou, January 8, 2025 – The headquarters of the Global Water Partnership West Africa (GWP-WA) hosted an official handover ceremony between the Acting Executive Secretary, Mr. Sidi Coulibaly, and the new Executive Secretary, Mr. Amadou Lamine Ndiaye.

The Global Water Partnership - Mediterranean is seeking to hire a PRIMA Project Manager. The successful candidate will be hired by the Mediterranean Information Office for Environment, Culture and Sustainable Development (MIO-ECSDE), a civil non-profit society based in Greece, in its capacity as Host Institute for GWP-Med.

The Global Water Partnership and the World Meteorological Organization on Thursday, 22 May 2025, hosted a High-Level Dialogue in the context of the G20 to serve as a foundational consultation toward the establishment of the Global Outlook Council on Water Investments. Global Water Partnership Southern Africa, which is the GWP Africa Hub, co-hosted the Dialogue.
