As we approach the 10th World Water Forum in Bali, Indonesia, themed “Water for Shared Prosperity”, it is an opportune time to take note of the current state of water management in the world. How are we doing in managing our water resources, and what is the outlook for the future of water management? The AIP-African Union Multi-Country Green Climate Fund (GCF) Readiness Project has officially been launched in the Central African Republic. The launch took place during a high-level workshop held in Bangui on August 22, 2025, with financial support from the GCF and technical support from Global Water partnership – Central Africa.

On September 26th, the inaugural meeting and academic exchange conference of the GWP China Groundwater Working Committee was held in Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province.
On 21 November 2025, the GWP Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) Regional Council gathered online and introduced the GWP’s new global strategy. The meeting brought together Country Water Partnerships, the Regional Secretariat, and the GWPO Network Officer to discuss the strategy’s implications, regional priorities, and the ongoing transformation of the GWP network.
